North Central Local Government Association
The Fraser Basin Council’s Northern Interior Office provides administrative and executive facilitation services to the North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA).
Established in 1955, the NCLGA is a non-profit, non-partisan association composed of elected officials in North Central British Columbia, from 100 Mile House to the Yukon border, and from Haida Gwaii to Alberta. Representing 240 elected officials in over 40 local governments, the NCLGA works to connect communities, identify common challenges and facilitate positive change.
The NCLGA works closely with partner associations as well as its provincial counterpart, the Union of British Columbia Municipalities.
Resolutions form the basis of NCLGA work, as passed at its Annual General Meeting each year. Emerging issues are identified through outreach programs, and the NCLGA undertakes communication with member communities, education and community engagement.
