Many sustainability issues in BC today are first experienced, and best understood, close to home.
To support local efforts for sustainability, the Fraser Basin Council staff work from four offices in different regions of the Fraser Basin, as well as remotely from other parts of BC. We are honoured to be part of local and regional initiatives that bring together residents, regional and municipal governments, First Nations, businesses and community groups.
Sometimes a broad-brush initiative really comes to life when rolled out in a community or region. Other times, it’s by working on issues of local concern that wider sustainability issues and trends emerge. That can mean opportunities for collaboration, for the benefit of all.
