About the Fraser Basin Council Board

The Fraser Basin Council is governed by a 38-member Board of Directors. In addition to an independent Chair, the FBC Board is composed of 37 Directors from all four orders of Canadian government in BC (federal, provincial, First Nations and local), together with people from business, industry and communities.

The Board reflects diverse interests, and all Directors work by collaboration and consensus to guide the Fraser Basin Council in delivering on its mission.

For a look at who’s on the Board, see our current FBC Directors.

Committee Work

The Board looks at current challenges, perspectives and emerging initiatives within FBC’s strategic priority areas — and Committees help bring issues forward. In February 2024 the spotlight was on water, flood, drought and climate resilience.
